PRS Festival Remains Unstoppable Despite Industry Challenges
The PRS Festival would like to express our sincere gratitude to our dedicated community and ticket holders for their unwavering support during this challenging time. Your enthusiasm fuels our commitment to celebrate and elevate hip hop culture, even in the face of unexpected challenges.
This year has presented significant hurdles for hip hop culture. From the unfair treatment of B-Boys and B-Girls at the Olympics to recent Rap industry headlines that do not represent Hip Hop Culture and its values. Now, It has been confirmed that our previous ticketing platform, LYTE, has collapsed and has declared bankruptcy, effectively disrupting many festivals and concerts throughout the country. Despite this setback, we remain steadfast in our mission.
Moving Forward: What's Next for PRS Festival
- Event Date: Saturday, October 12, 2024
- New Venue: Bar Code NJ | 429 N Broad St, Elizabeth, NJ 07208
- Ticketing: All tickets purchased through LYTE will be honored via a new ticketing service.
- Event Hours: Doors open at 1:00 pm; the event concludes at 9:00 pm
Our dedication to the community remains unwavering. In partnership with The Elisha Project, Her Networks Inc., Hinchliffe Stadium, SiriusXM, Hispanic Heritage, All Hip Hop and Monster Energy, the PRS Festival successfully distributed over $110,000 worth of essential goods to the underserved community in Paterson, New Jersey. These included toiletries, home products, and other necessities. Continuing this spirit of giving, we are thrilled to announce that on October 12, 2024, we will be giving away 50 FREE Mountain bikes to young adults in need, further supporting and uplifting our community.
