Celebrating Latino Contributions in Hip Hop

At the heart of the 2023 PRS festival lies a profound mission: to preserve the stories and honor the contributions of the Latino community in the four elements of Hip Hop - DJs, Rappers, Graffiti artists, and Breakers. These visionary individuals have not only helped shape the course of hip-hop culture, but their influence has transcended borders, leaving an indelible mark on popular culture worldwide.

Elementos

PRS Festival's initiative titled: "ELEMENTOS" will document Latino contributions in Hip Hop for historic and cultural preservation and entered into the Cornell University Hip Hop Collection.

Established in 2007, the Cornell Hip Hop Collection preserves more than 250,000 items across dozens of archives documenting the origins of Hip Hop culture and its spread around the globe.
